The 41-key AVANI Les Berges Du Lac Tunis Suites will open in Les Berges du Lac II in the Tunisian capital, offering serviced apartment accommodation options ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments and lofts. There will also be a restaurant, health club and gym, two spa treatment rooms, sauna, steam rooms and an indoor swimming pool.
It will be followed by the 250-key AVANI Gammarth Tunis Resort & Spa, which is expected to open in 2021 in the beachfront Gammarth area of Tunis.
Alejandro Bernabe, vice president, AVANI Hotels & Resorts, said: "We are really excited to be bringing our dynamic AVANI brand to North Africa with the launch of these two properties in Tunis. We look forward to working closely with Groupe Chaabane to launch the brand in the Tunisian capital, a market which we are confident has a lot of potential."
Both developments are in partnership with Groupe Chaabane, whose chairman Maher Chaabane, said: "We believe the AVANI brand will bring something new and exciting to the hospitality market in Tunis."
Avani makes North African debut with Tunisia serviced apartments
Minor Hotels’ upscale AVANI Hotels & Resorts brand is to debut in North Africa with two properties in Tunisia.
